In its meeting held on Thursday January 12, 2012, the Jordanian Senate adopted the anti-corruption law but rejected article 23 that was considered restrictive for the freedom of the press. The Senate also adopted a motion sent to the Cabinet, recommending the inclusion of article 23 into the Penal Code instead of the anti-corruption law.
