New Safety Training Opportunity for MENA Journalists

The ACOS Alliance is working in partnership with the SKeyes Center for Media and Cultural Freedom, Arab Reporters for Investigative Journalism (ARIJ), Frontline Freelance Register (FFR), Gulf Center for Human Rights (GCHR), Maharat Foundation, and Marie Colvin Journalists' Network (MCJN) to offer FREE access to a safety training course provided online by media safety trainers at Silk Road Training.

The course is designed to help journalists exposed to safety challenges become better prepared and offers a combination of structured and self-paced learning.  Modules include First Aid, Civil Unrest and Terrorism, Personal Security, Travel Safety and Frontline Conflict Safety.  The course will also address legal and psychosocial safety.

Selected participants will have access to the course over a period of 30 days, from October 18 to November 17, 2021 which includes a series of five live webinars.

Deadline for applications is Thursday, September 30, 2021.
