In an interview with the SKeyes Center on January 17, 2012, Samah Idriss, owner of the publishing house "Dar Al-Adab" and the activist in the campaign for “the boycott of Israel in Lebanon” called on the Casino du Liban officials to cancel the concert of artist Lara Fabian, scheduled on February 14-15, because she “supports the Zionist entity”.

“In France, Fabian performed a Hebrew song, written by the Zionist poet Naomi Shemer, during the commemoration of the 60^th anniversary of the creation of the State of Israel (on May 25, 2008), declaring her love for Israel at the end of the song. She also held a concert in Tel Aviv (end March 2010) and participated in the Zionist festival of “Cercle Ben Gourion” in Brussels”, Idriss added. The campaign also published a statement, urging the sponsors to refrain from financing Fabian’s visit and calling on the public not to attend the concert.
