Palestinian journalist Amal Shamaly, a correspondent for Qatar Radio, was killed in an Israeli strike early Monday, March 9, 2026, on tents housing displaced people in central Gaza.
According to reports, the strike west of the village of Az-Zawayda, killed Shamaly, two other people and injured at least 10 others. It comes amid intensified Israeli strikes across Gaza following a new round of hostilities between the U.S., Israel and Iran, and hours after deadly strikes in Gaza City.
